Who am i?
Hi! I am Shiplu Talukder and I am a Graphic/Web Designer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I've always wanted to do something with computers ever since high school. I got my first taste in the computer field at George Brown College, where I earned a diploma in Computer Programming. When I started looking for jobs in that field, I noticed the high demand for graphic designing in Toronto. Soon I decided to revisit the college to study Graphic Design. While I was learning the art of graphic designing, I discovered my true talent and I knew I wanted to be an integral part of this artistic world.
I have been freelancing for 7 years now, and over the last few years I've been working on marketing my own business online. Redesigning my full Flash website to an HTML website, and re-branding all my marketing materials, made me realize that working for my own company is not as easy as it used to be--especially when you're a perfectionist. For example…I must have built and broken the HTML website down over a hundred times before arriving to this final stage. But don't get me wrong, every time I broke my site down I learned something new, and came up with a more suitable way to make things work better.
I have also learned a few things about properly channeling marketing material to get the most exposure. I now have a better understanding and experience to use website tools such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, and other blogs to market a company online.
